Galatasaray signs Poythress in place of Moore

Galatasaray Doga Sigorta Istanbul has signed forward Alex Poythress for the remainder of the season. Poythress (2.06 meters, 26 years old) takes the pace of Ben Moore, who leaves the club due to personal reasons. Moore averaged 6.5 points and 5.1 rebounds in eight 7DAYS EuroCup games this season. Poythress arrives from Jilin Northeast Tigers of the Chinese League. He has also played for Philadelphia, Indiana and Atlanta in the NBA and Fort Wayne and Erie in the G-League. Last season, he averaged 23.7 points and 9.7 rebounds in 18 games with Erie and 5.1 points and 3.6 rebounds in 21 games with Atlanta. At Galatasaray, Poythress will be reunited with his former college teammate Aaron Harrison. The two teamed up for two seasons at the University of Kentucky from 2013 to 2015 and reached back-to-back NCAA Final Fours.
