Darussafaka brings in veteran Guler

Darussafaka Tekfen Istanbul penned veteran guard Sinan Guler to a multi-year contract, the club announced Thursday. The deal is for two seasons with an option for 2021-22. Guler (1.92 meters, 35 years old) returns to the 7DAYS EuroCup, which he won with Galatasaray Istanbul when he last played the competition in the 2015-16 campaign. He spent the previous two seasons with Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul, during which Guler reached a pair of EuroLeague Final Fours and won the 2018 Turkish championship and the 2019 Turkish Cup.

This will be Guler's third season in the EuroCup; he first played the competition with Besiktas in 2007-08. He has taken part in 175 EuroLeague games over 10 seasons: five with Anadolu Efes, three with Galatasaray and two with Fenerbahce. A native of Istanbul, Guler returns to Darussafaka, where Guler played in the 2006-07 season. Guler was a member of the Turkish national team that won the silver medal at the 2010 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
