Efes adds experienced forward Singleton

Anadolu Efes Istanbul bolstered its frontcourt by signing power forward Chris Singleton to a one-year deal, with an option to extend it until the end of the 2020-21 season, the club announced Tuesday. Singleton (2.06 meters, 29 years old) arrives from FC Barcelona, where he averaged 8 points and 4.4 rebounds in 35 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season. He helped Barcelona reach the playoffs, losing against Efes. He has been among the premier players in the EuroLeague over the past four seasons. He averaged 10.3 points on 46.1% three-point shooting plus 5.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 34 EuroLeague appearances for Panathinaikos OPAP Athens in the 2017-18 season. Singleton also won back-to-back Greek League championships and one Greek Cup in his time with the club. He debuted in the EuroLeague in the 2015-16 season with from Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar, which he helped to its first-ever Final Four and played a big role on that, especially in do-or-die Game 5 of his team's playoffs series against Barcelona. Singleton grabbed 12 rebounds in Game 5 and scored 11 of his 16 points in a 14-0 run that sent Lokomotiv to victory and sealed its place in Berlin. He started his professional career with Washington of the NBA and also played for Jiangsu Nangang Dragons Nanjing of China and Oklahoma City of the D-League before joining Lokomotiv. Over the last four EuroLeague seasons, Singleton ranks 11th in PIR (1,520) and scoring (1,288), third in rebounds (686) and second in steals (148).
