Turkish League finals, Game 2

Besiktas Milangaz has established itself as the clear favorite to win the Turkish League after beating Anadolu Efes 71-76 Thursday on the road at Sinan Erdem Arena. Carlos Arroyo scored 19 points, David Hawkins added 17 and Erwin Dudley posted a double-double as Besiktas improved to 2-0 in the best-of-seven series. Besiktas hosts Games 3 and 4 on Sunday and Tuesday. A strong start by Dusko Savanovic gave Efes a 16-11 lead after 10 minutes, but Zoran Erceg shined in the second quarter to narrow the gap to 33-32 at halftime. Tarence Kinsey and Hawkins led their respective offenses as the game stayed close, 51-52, through three quarters. The score was knotted at 58-58 midway through the fourth quarter when Aroyyo and Hawkins took over and increased the lead to 64-60 and later 69-64. Efes last attempts came up short as Besiktas stayed accurate form the line to claim the valuable road win. Dudley finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds, Pops Mensah-Bonsu added 12 points and Serhat Cetin dished 8 assists for the victors. Kerem Tunceri led Efes with 18 points, Savanovic added 14 and Kinsey 11.
