Besiktas takes 2-1 lead against Galatasaray in the Semis

Game Three of TBL Semifinals between Besiktas and Galatasaray just ended. The hosts celebrated 74-65 victory for 2-1 lead in the series.

The format is best-of-five and Besiktas is now one win away from the Finals. Game Four is scheduled for Tuesday and Besiktas will be the host again. Besiktas had 11-point lead after 3 quarters, what was too much for Galatasaray for rest of the way. The hosts made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Besiktas outrebounded Galatasaray 36-25 including 24 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Galatasaray helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.

The best player for the winners was American guard David Hawkins (194-82) who scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Ersin Dagli (203-81) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian forward Boris Savovic (206-87) who recorded 16 points and 7 rebounds and Bosnian forward Nihad Djedovic (196-90) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively...
