Banvit completed its ascent to the top of the Turkish League standings by beating Erdemir, which tied it for first place with Galatasaray Medical Park after the latter lost in double overtime to Mersin BSB. Anadolu Efes missed a chance to rejoin the top spot when it lost at Turk Telekom. Banvit and Galatasaray now have 23-5 records and Efes is one win back. Banvit marched to a 60-85 win by outscoring Erdemir in every quarter and dominating the glass 21-34. Erol Can Cinko led the attack with 17 points on 5-of-8 three-point shooting, while Kalin Lucas netted 13 and Chuck Davis posted 12 points and 10 rebounds. Mersin outlasted Galatasaray 106-99 in a thriller. Alex Scales led the way with 23 points and Anthony Grundy had 22 for the winners. Jaka Lakovic paced Galatasaray with 21 points and 7 assists. Turk Telekom held off Efes 95-87 in another overtime finish. Darius Washington peppered the nets for 34 points to lead Telekom. Fourth-placed Besiktas and defending champion Fenerbahce Ulker both won. Besiktas edged Tofas 81-78 as Zoran Erceg posted 23 points and 9 rebounds, while FB Ulker bested Hacettepe Univ. 81-68 with Roko Ukic going for 23 points and 6 assists.
