Coaching change at Mersin

Ahmet Kandemir resigned from coaching position at Mersin Byksehir Belediyespor as struggling side of Beko Basketball League replaced him with Mete Babaoglu. Kandemir who carried Mersin BSB to the Play-Off's for the first time in club history last year decided to quit after bad performance just before Besiktas Cola Turka game which Mersin lost 91-73 last sunday. Despite having a good roster with experienced domestic players and talented foreigners, somehow Mersin could not find the balance and nailed down to the bottom group of the league with 4-14 lose-win ratio. Mete Babaoglu who has coached Tofas, Oyak Renault, Pinar Karsiyaka, Banvit, Mutlu Aku Selcuk Universitesi and Aliaga Petkim an his long career in the league will take over as Head Coach and try to put it together.
