Efes Pilsen stayed atop the Turkish League standings with a 15-1 record. Fenerbahce Ulker is right behind at 14-2, with Besiktas Cola Turka and Banvit tying for third place at 11-5. Efes did not find much trouble to down Mersin Buyuksehir 92-73 in Istanbul on Saturday. Igor Rakocevic and Bootsy Thornton led the winners with 17 points each. Preston Shumpert and Charles Smith added 14 apiece while Ermal Kuqo had 10 for Efes, that led 41-28 at halftime, boosted its margin to 69-46 after 30 minutes and never looked back.

FB Ulker thrashed Kepez Belediye 71-94 on the road also on Saturday behind 18 points from Mirsad Turkcan. Roko Ukic added 16, Emir Preldzic had 14, Lynn Greer got 13 while Semih Erden contributed 11 for FB Ulker, that had already sealed the outcome, 44-66, at the end of the third quarter.

Besiktas defeated Darussafaka Cooper Tires 92-66 at home on Sunday. Brad Newley led the winners with 20 points. Engin Atsur added 13, Mire Chatman had 11 while Cevher Ozer and Kevin Fletcher each got 10 for Besiktas, that led 79-41 after 30 minutes and only allowed Darussafaka to rally once the outcome was clear.

Galatasaray Cafe Crown improved to 8-8 by beating Oyak Renault 92-107 in Bursa on Saturday. Simas Jasaitis and Rado Rancik led the winners with 25 points apiece. Murat Kaya added 13, Mike Wilkinson and Evren Buker each had 12 while Darius Washington got 11 for Galatasaray, that led 37-57 at halftime and kept controlling the game all the way after the break. Turk Telekom improved to 10-6 by edging Antalya Bsb. 75-69 in Ankara on Saturday. Erwin Dudley led the winners with 19 points. Huseyin Besok added 15 while Serkan Erdogan had 11 for Telekom, that did not find major problems to add another home win. In other games, Bornova Belediye edged Pinar Karsiyaka 65-57, Erdemir topped Banvit 82-68 while Aliaga Petkin beat Tofas 87-85 behind 23 points from Ceyhun Altay.
